The mask most girls wearA Poem by AllauraRoseI am guilty of this as well. I'm not saying I'm not, I'm just saying that this is a problem that I fall in to as well.
Makeup, the thing most girls buy
When we realize we aren't worthy enough So we try to hide it behind a mask A mountain some may say A mountain we are able to move But choose to let it stay Spending countless dollars on a material thing That takes away the most natural beauty Some girls put on a full face Attempting to cover up impurities Only giving up their integrity The girls that only wear some Their confidence stronger than the ones above Try to hide teenage punishment Keeping their beauty uncontaminated A brave few where little to none Most can't say they are among those courageous ones Makeup is just a mask, and some wear it for fun It can tell you how they view themselves Being confident with their self-image I wish we didn't care what others say But only did what we liked most Bullying is a major problem today So being yourself is no longer good enough You must be molded by fellow classmates To fit their expectations No matter how hard you try, you will always fall short © 2018 AllauraRoseAuthor's Note
