PerspectiveA Poem by AllauraRoseI have wondered and pondered this idea for a while. One life is all you have You see life through your eyes, and only yours But how do others feel? What is their story? Not all heroes are recognized The ones who have been a hero the whole time We don't know their story Or the face behind the mask We can't read others minds and understand how they feel We just assume their opinion What about the ones that attempted to take their life? Or the ones that went through with it? Did we know how they felt as they tied the noose? No, we can only help but wonder What about the people you have affected? For better or for worse The ones whose life has changed once you came into it We will never know unless they tell us There are billions of people on this planet Yet, we only have access to our thoughts We are always in a limited perspective No matter how far we dig into someone's mind We take people for granted Or lash out when we are mad We make assumptions about their story Who knows, they could have been hurt in the past? So try to put yourself in other's shoes You find out that they don't fit So listen to everyone, and hear their story You may meet a hero, a victim or a new friend
