ChristmasA Poem by AllauraRoseHow I feel about Christmas...Christmas time The season when your family gets together To celebrate and follow years of traditions But you may not feel that way The joy has now left when Christmas comes around No more dying anticipation of wanting to tear open your presents Not wanting anything Nor seeming happy when you get anything Drowning in this holiday Nostalgia is nowhere near you The faint memories of Christmas seem pointless But you act like you have fun You want to stop with all the nonsense Acting like Santa is real for your siblings But honestly, they are old enough for the truth Yet I spend so much money on others When this holiday only lasts two days Then the 26th rolls around and no more fun and games So whats the point of Christmas? Family, I see them all year Joy, we have other holidays too If you think joy comes from possessions then you're wrong It comes from family and pure happiness So is that why we celebrate Christmas? For family? Yet they buy us stuff at Christmas So everyone confuses the two
