Grim Nightmare

Terror thrives, scarring lives,
Cries of anguish, from homes it drives.
No impunity, we must demand,
For crimes so grave, in blood-soaked land.

Society trembles, in war's cruel grip,
Economy chained, an unyielding trip.
Suffering encircles, a relentless strand,
Reaching out, with a ruthless hand.

Is this suffering fair, we cry in woe,
Cease and mend, let wounds cease to grow.
In a world of alarm, in shadows we steer,
Halt this grim nightmare, let compassion appear.

It has been a painful journey for most civilians, refugees, and soldiers, and the end does not seem to be in sight in the East Europe….

Dear Alla
I am so upset at the U.S congress for stalling on funds for Ukraine..... this is so important, yet these fooleries do nothing.... My son has told me that he started a project with his company to help the kids build back tier schools.... What a wonderful idea, but as we say, a drop in the bucket.... what to do???
to erase the suffering, the death, the bombing.....we pray

I firmly believe that the U.S. is as complicit in the cause of all of this suffering in your home nation as is Russia, but simply sitting on the sidelines of a situation that American Foreign Policy & NATO helped to create in arrogance, and Russia in bullyish obstinance ...

But true or not, right or wrong, what do my words have a chance in hell of alleviating all the pain and suffering that your people are enduring from moment to moment of each and every day?

Nada! ... It truly matters not who stops a heart from beating, only that they do, and they did, regardless of the political maneuvering's reasons for the evil the men do, and seemingly, shall never cease the doing of ...

I am so sorry for my lack of meaningful words that could serve as some type of empathy's soothing salve for all your people, the Ukranian People are suffering, while two dogs, Russia & America, fight over a nation that is to them but a bone, a scrap, of all they both seek to gain at any cost of Human lives ...

I remember a lyric in a Dylan song, "with God on our side" that says if he really is on our side, he will stop the next war.
But he is not doing that.

I don't know when the Russian Governors will become peaceful towards other nations. From the time of Peter the Great, Russia has been ruled over by warlords and it seems Putin wants to commemorate the old days of attacking other nations. My heart is with Ukrainian people, as a person from a nation who has been hurt heavily from Russia.
