Life is a funny thing. There can be so much devastation and destruction. A thousand or more lives are lost in one place, and miles and miles away life goes on....and people get caught up in their hum-drum lives. It is so interesting to me, how life simply goes on, no matter what. Sometimes in our own lives we feel this way.
We feel like it shouldn't. Like life should just cease, because in our mind's it already has, but it doesn't, and in that there is hope. As long as there is breath. As long as the love of God endures on, there is always hope.

Please don't let that spark of beauty be extinguished by the winds of war! I am just a pencil-pushing poet and not a very good one my dear Alla but I am also A strong believer in the power of writing and we all need to push away all of the lies and rhetoric that try to hide the truth no matter what form they come in be it a missile or a misguided missal! My heart goes out to you and your people and we are all praying for your freedom

Thank you for your words of support! Especially meaningful when it comes from the artist as yourself. Even though I am an American, my roots are still in Ukraine. I can only help ending the conflict and contribute to peace by what I know - creating…. I will continue to shout….

beautiful poem Alla. Somehow, through all the destruction, and grief this war must be bringing to you and your loved ones, you still manage to bring a light to life. The third verse, birds will sing ... is unquestionably a ray of sunshine.

I watch the news every night and it pains me to discern all these crushed broken buildings, people standing in the cold cooking something to east, while freezing; children running around not understanding exactly what's happening to them; but, for the most part these brave people will withstand this atrocity and keep going on with their lives as much as possible....a beautiful tribute Alla.
Best, B.

Your magically gifted flair for penning Poetry that speaks directly to the heart and inspired the mind is truly wonderous and a blissfully refreshing path of rejuvenation to any and all who savor your thoughts shared to all upon page ... We Americans are spoiled little brats, for War, real down and dirty in one's face war, has never ravaged our land, our nation, our continent, our haughty and uppity far too proud people ... But that day is fast coming, and those who shall breach our shores, plunder our land, and pillage all our greatness, are not, necessarily the true bad guys in speaking of that which does appear to certain to come ... And soon, though I do wish that I were wrong ...

Agree. America is isolated and protected by its shores from the neighboring war damages other nations suffer. However, I travel thru the world at length to discover the ambivalence is same. People only get personally touched if it is in their backyard or close to the heart. Wars being elsewhere are for most part are just headlines and for many have no real relevance. I sure hope that America will NEVER experience such atrocities.
Thank you for your “magically gifted” words! Truly appreciated
