Murdered FatherA Poem by All From A PenJust wrote this last night. Not one of my best but I still wanted to post it. I hope you enjoy it.Upon the street so full and wide I passed those there with such a stride That as a heavy and loathesome tide Pressed me unto her door
I found myself of a nervous state For who was I to contemplate If her and I were matched of fate Or if we were to be no more
I entered there to find her crying The sight to me quite stupifying The feeling inside me, that of dying That feeling worse than that of before
I flew to her as I began to surmise The reason tears defiled her exquisite eyes My heart filled with a dire surprise To find my love's face so poor
Through frightful fits she spoke asunder Her story torn from fits of frenzied thunder Reeling from a spell she was under Frantic unto the core
Her father- her he'd been abusing Instead of love, hatred choosing Her acuteness from this she had been losing Causing her to repay by spilling his blood upon the floor
Then she in a state of fear For killing the one she loved so dear Confronted a thought of no more cheer For the confinement the law would implore
I gazed upon her with a heavy sadness For the one that caused me such gladness Was upon the verge of madness Her mind grief and worry had tore
I confided to the officers that I was to blame for I couldn't allow my love to be washed with shame and so I pay the price for only her name in conefinement for whom my heart beats for. © 2010 All From A PenAuthor's Note
