Be Someone's Light

It only takes a little spark
from deep within your soul,
to brighten someone's day
that seems to be dark as coal.

They used to have a burning desire
to make it through life and be able
to shine brightly into other people's
lives, until they were deeply hurt.

Now their dancing flame has burned
out, can't find the positivity they used
to have. They can't confide in people
they hope will help light up their life.

Remember that the next time you see someone
that you knew who's flame was flickering,
had helped so many others in their life smile,
but now their flame has died out from being hurt.
