Love Gone Bad

Love Gone Bad

A Poem by BlueEyedAngel

His love cut deep, like a razor blade,
wounding a tender soul.
It broke her heart, clipped her wings, held her captive.
The cuts began to heal, but left deep scars behind.
She still held on tight, fought her hardest for her true love.
She realized that she was fighting alone.
She couldn't hang on to something that wasn't there.
Her wings were finally healing, but
those deep scars never would.
Her one and only true love had to be set free.
What she ever did, she'll never truly know. Those tears just won't stop.
