What Happened To Our Freedom?

America, the land of the free, home of the brave is what they all said.
That was supposed to be true, yet I can see we have been misled.
Each soldier fought during the wars for you and me,
For the land they loved and for their families.
Many too, have been traumatized for life,
Causing their loved ones and friends so much strife.
They came home unnoticed, not given any respect.
This kind of treatment they received they never did expect.
All these years of serving so our country would be free,
They have now realized it was truly not guaranteed.
Every minute, every second that passes us by,
We are losing more freedom that many had fought for and died.
