A Real Man

A Real Man

A Poem by BlueEyedAngel

It's not his clothes he wears,
or how he fixes his hair.

Not his car he wears and tears
or do the stupid things he dares.

A real man stands up for his rights
and for the one's he loves, he'll fight.

One who protects you from all harm
so you don't ever have to feel alarmed.

He has a job where he works each day
providing things for the home where you stay.

When he comes home his work never ends
for torn hearts he, too, has to help mend.

Who spends time with his family,
now that's a real man to me.
