The Worm

The Worm

THE WORM

The worm is almost always found
beneath some rocks or underground
or fried and dried along the street
it tried to cross in summer heat.
We don't know where the face begins
since front and back look much like twins
and have no real way to know
toward which way it wants to go.
There's no procedure known, I bet,
to say which end is which as yet.
Besides, I can't imagine who
would really want to know, do you?
(Unless, of course, you want to learn...
it's really none of my concern).
I have no interest what our friends
would call their two respective ends-
I'm only grateful that these guys
are here on earth to fertilize.
