Another silly one

"

THE MANTIS

 

Waiting for the chance to snare
some hapless critter from the air,
the lovely bride, who'd later eat
the bridegroom as a wedding treat,
put her fingers in a bunch,
anticipated having lunch,
imitated saying grace
before she set to feed her face.

'Twas lovely dining with her mate
despite the fact it's him she ate.
