The SlothA Poem by All 2 SillyAnother silly oneTHE SLOTH This verse is written for the sloth,
the 2 toed and the 3 toed both, who spend a lifetime, all of these, suspended upside down in trees, slower than the slowest slow and never getting where they go. Living in the tense of past, making starts that never last, the sloth spends most of life, I hear, completely stuck in neutral gear and if you tell him, "Wait a while." he'll do it gladly with a smile. Nothing more would please this chap than getting up to take a nap. Example: if he has a chance to move 2" down a branch, it takes a week from there to here to get his pokey buns in gear, but, may not be (because of breaks) completely worth the time it takes, and so he quits and goes on back and locks the door and hits the sack. He's not involved in race of rat- the sloth would never dream of that because, when all is said and done, not getting there was half the fun!
