A Poem by Alkonost

the rubicon crossers
are few and far gone
no crassy, pomp or ceez
to tug the sleepy sheets
of history
to iron them, make waves, beds
or dirty them
hang them high
dry, threads uncounted
for the weavers have
gone, fled or dead
and no need for sleep stands
instead two feet suffice
or six (can work best)
