Taste TestA Poem by Alister FlikThe bland taste of boredom rests on my tongue. This dish was served dryly tonight. It settles in my stomach and floats, as my thoughts slide from nothing, to nothing. Then it begins bubbling; rising up like baking bread. It reaches my throat with a burst of flavor, and I laugh long and hard. Uncontrollable--I spill giggles all over the table. They bounce and spin like dropped marbles. Large liquid drops stream down my chin--a soothing drink on my laughing tongue. I must be bored to tears.
