Dizzy

Dizzy

A Poem by Alister Flik

 The world whirls,

Spinning at a sickening speed.

Turning and tilting,

Dipping and dropping.

But we are still,

Or so it seems.

Then I notices as I start,

Turning opposite the societal slant,

The nauseating, disgusting

Rate at which we dilate ourselves

Toward destruction.

I then perceive--

We will fall,

As soon as this place

Stops dead

In its revolving path

Of delusion.

Societal degradation in a nutshell!
People always buck those who walk to the beat of a different drum.
This piece was not unlike a roller coaster ride (complete with stomach upset)!

As soon as this place
Stops dead
In its revolving path
Of delusion.

Great line.

Please, God! Don't let the world stop spinning! (that's scary)
Excellent work.

What to say? I could be boring; say what is obvious: I like writing. I could be bizarre; say something random: I like frogs. I could be mysterious; say nothing: What do you want from me? Ask. .. more..
