Lost and FoundA Poem by Alister FlikWhat does the lost woman see in the Sun? Does she recognize its glory or Grace? Does she look at its truth, or turn and run, Unable to accept its knowing face. She calls it a lie of the dumb and weak, Saying, it reveals nothing to the world. She is afraid to listen to it speak. She defies it and screams, with fingers curled, "No one can control any part of me. I am my ruler, not something like you." Others look on and pity what they see. The poor lost woman knows not what to do.
But the Sun looks down and sees to her heart, And cradles her world from falling apart. © 2008 Alister FlikReviews
