Fire Ships

Found meaning
lost in empty rooms
The lump of my
impostor stare saw
time collapse
in pixel thought
reduced to
liquid molecules

I brought you
out to open water
kissed the lighting
from your head

Sent fire- ships
to steer you clear
of awful loves that
look for you in places
you can never be

Forever seems
a long time gone

and this could travel
on for miles....

I could feel the regret in the poetry my friend.

Thank you Neville, that's most kind of you, much appreciated...On a random note, I had a salted caramel porter from M and S the other day- and it was lovely- just spreading the word- tasted beautiful and got me a bit pissed- what is not to like?.
Had to get that off my chest.

Fair play to you!..I'm going to put on a hat, simply so I can doff it in your direction- There seems to be a critical lack of "hat- doffing" these days- probably due to climate change, or something similar.

dunno about climate change, I'm going though a bit of a climacteric change me self... and down ere, we have synchronised hat doffing days, a sight to behold and not for the fainthearted...

Haha!...I must now adjourn to the kitchen and chuck a load of mince in a pan- I do that now and again- sometimes I even remember to turn the hob on- it is progress of a kind.
Take care Good Sir- and watch for Kestrels- they are always hovering around somewhere.

I have a problem with mince and sausages... I once had two kestrels drop out of the sky in a busy car park would you believe ... making such a racket and they seemed to be fighting... any idea? Never heard of it happening before... anyway.. you take care too ya hear... N

Ah-ha!, now kestrels are proper territorial nutters- as are most birds- and will think nothing of having a tear-up, as and when- but that must have been amazing to see.
many moons ago, I was birding on the Norfolk coast, when a pair of Hobbies shot out of the dunes behind me,- rounded up a single Dunlin from a flock and proceeded to beat it up until all three birds fell into the marram , just yards from me- that I was there, mattered not to them.
Nature- beautiful and brutal through and through.
Our little Robin- that loved and chubby saint of the gardener's fork- is a thug among the passerines and will fight to the death if need be- it really is a jungle out there...amazing!!

I read, reread and reread Your words, the striking stunning image just took my breath away, and as I read down, it even took my breath away more... a wedding between twilight and sky, a birth of a storm, forever from the past, forever in the future, forever this eternal bond will be, no time matters, time is not sensed anymore, and how not a human being would seek such a rare Love?

Hello my Friend...and thank you, for such kind words.
I hope things are going well for you and that you are enjoying life and all that it offers.
I have been away doing a bit of birding down on the South coast ( had a real mixed batch of weather- started off like Summer, then broke into some amazing Autumnal storms- I love 'em!) I managed to see a few species that I haven't seen for years, and visit some old stomping grounds too.
Have got back into photography ( of a kind) and hope to put a few up here at some stage.

The photo above is of Bidborough Ridge in Kent.
Jenny and I used to walk along here when we were kids.
I always remember my Gran telling me, that, in the War, you could see the red glow of London burning in the Blitz, from here.

Look after yourself and may only good things happen to you.
