Shoes

Shoes

A Poem by Alissa Marie Unknown
"

descriptive piece about a shoe

"

A little musky tanish-brown shoe,
sits upon a smooth stone-black desk,
trying to find the other but does not succeed.
It sniffs around trying to find
the sweet strawberry smell,
but only feels pure loneliness of itself.
It flops to the cold stone floor,
using its ripped baby blue laces
to finds its way. But the shoe never
finds the match.
Unaware that two rooms away,
a little ghost-white dog
munches and groans over the
slobbery chewed up shoe.
