Shattered

Shattered

A Poem by Alissa Marie Unknown

Emptiness fills the young
girls heart. Years of endearment
all gone in a blink of an eye.

All for an anger that was built
up inside. She couldn't control it
she lost it all never to gain back
all that she had lost.

Through thick n thin she gave
all she could only to be broken
again. Yet she tries for her love
is blind. The ways of her world
came crashing down all crumpled
never to be rebuilt for the loss
has consumed her to the point
of no return.

Though she'll go on she'll
never be the same, devastation
has taken away all that she was
it is a mere shame.

I love this! I feel like it is the perfect way of describing how someone tries so hard to do something right, and it goes well for a really long time, and then one mistake ruins it all.
