Graduation, No CelebrationA Poem by AlisonMarie<3We've been waiting for this day Ever scince we started As we cry knowing some wont return We understand the blackness of this day
We hold hands Hoping It'll keep us together But destiny is stronger We're all pulled away
Different places Different people Some are with loved ones Some are alone
This day prepares us for the future One we always waited for Now we don't want But get anyways
Some bridges are burned Some are built Out with the old In with the new
We all know it's true We forget all the others The ones we spent three years with For people we'll stay for one year longer
We cried over them Now we dont remember there names We don't look back Only forward
Im different All I do is look back I can't forget them They changed me
I wont let go of them They'll always be in mind No matter how far we go I'll still hold there hand © 2010 AlisonMarie<3Author's Note
