Lullaby

Lullaby

A Poem by AlisonMarie<3

Hush now babe, stop your crys

I'm right here, close your eyes

I'll be your protection, not just for the night

All through life, so yours is right

I'll tuck you in, as you doze off into sleep

Don't try to stay up, and don't you dare weep

Tonight no games, just rest your head

I'll stay up,lay next to you in bed

I know you're tired, I know you're weak

So just lay down, and I'll sing you to sleep

And when you've finally gone, into a world of dreams

I'll sit wondering about your self-esteem

And I'll hold you close, 'cause I'm afraid to lose you

Don't slip threw my fingers, I'm lost without you

I'll sing to you, all the known lullabies

I'll keep you safe until I die

Whatever it takes, to keep you near me

I'll try another when you wake to me
