Blindsided

Blindsided

A Poem by _Ally_

Blindsided

Maybe if he took the time to spend with her he would understand how she feels about him.

The opportunity is there to listen.

What if his perception doesn't even come close to the magnitude of how he consumes

her thoughts, her dreams, her... everything.

Perhaps his character influences hers without warning.

Would it be possible he could have the same heartbeats as hers during moments shared

without saying a word, without eye contact, without... intension.

Visa-Versa

Could she allow herself to be completely consumed and unafraid

and watch silently as moments unfold like a gift.

Better than technology.. better than dreams .. better than gold.

Let life lessons guide her, mold her, sculpt her while she silently battles between losing

herself and becoming all that he needs.. all that he wants.. all that he deserves.

When holding hands dissolves beyond gestures into communications of

vibrations with anticipation and admiration.

Is it possible to just be?

At what point do you put pride to rest and dive into the unknown.

Would you fight for and give yourself unconditionally for the pure fact that you don't see

anything but that?  Love?

Trust should be so effortless.

Can worlds collide from the purest elements leaving rembrandts of fractured old

scars to the bare minimum of surviving with healing hearts?

There is only you and me with I and us to we and he and she.. unconditionally.

With only those prayers from above "Let tomorrow be as innocent as today"

and beginnings have never endings.

Where his one is my only and the darkest nights fades into wrapped up warm sunrises.

Open your eyes, listen with your soul, and feel with your heart.

You really do know how to state emotions with a teeny barb to your thinking. But, maybe that is gently nudged by self-analysis or extreme decision-making : the choice between common sense or exceptional sensation, only you know that -Ally -.

LOVED this. Wonderful poem. I feel like I can relate to some of this. I really liked the line
"What if his perception doesn't even come close to the magnitude of how he consumes
her thoughts, her dreams, her... everything."
