Oblivion

Oblivion

A Poem by Alishaan Asaria

I do not deserve what I have,

and they do not deserve someone like me.

Confusion twists around me like a python.

Immortality and Eternity are mere words,

For everyone has to face the music someday or the other.

So, why not today?

Why not face it today then to face it later.

For what I understand is that

what we have to face is much harder than what we have.

Happiness, then Love, then Loss, then Misery.

They say I am a  Coward.

I might be one.

I might not even have a soul but if I do,

I do not want it to get stained.

Stained for the six of the seven deadly sins,

I commit without spirit wanting me to.

Let me not commit the seventh.

Let me burn in hell as that is what I deserve.

Let me be engulfed by oblivions curse.

Let the ones who love me, Forget me,

For they would be better off without me.

Forgive me Oh holy Ghost,

For I have sinned.

Let Death be my only friend,

For I do not deserve life.
