Fool

Fool

A Poem by Star Cross
"

...

"
I wish I could tell you
How much I have missed you.
I pray every night to hear from you,
Hoping that you have been happy.

You told me your dreams and hopes
And I laughed at them out of envy.
Have I told you
How much I loved you?

I had abandoned you when you needed me the most
But you have to understand
I was petrified and ran,
And I never looked back.

A rose is nothing without its stem.

interesting. the feeling of regret is clear. this didn't flow like a poem as much as it did flow like a few simple words being spoken, and i mean that as a compliment. one critique though; the last line doesn't need to be bolded to show emphasis. the words alone accomplish this as well as the fact that they are the last words the reader reads. just a thought. other wise, good job.

This is really deep, I love it expecially the last line "a rose is nothing without its stem" that line really striked me!
