AngelA Poem by Star Cross...The angel soared above the sky Waiting for God's reward. Yet, He never came. The angel waited and waited Until its loneliness swallowed his heart. The loneliness consumed his soul, his majestic grace. The angel's wings turned black, And slowly, each feather withered away one by one. The angel had never known That God had always been by his side that God had rewarded him by stripping him away his wings and allowing him to fly freely. That God had consumed his heart with loneliness only to replace it with love and grace. That God had given a new halo of life. To be a man. To be a person of strength and salvation. To be a person of joy. To be a person of love. To make a difference. That was the angel's reward. Life. Take pride in life. Always.
