Coup

coup noun: a sudden, violent, and illegal seizure of power from a government.

“ You’re outnumbered ten to one,

give up father your rein is done.”

“ So it seems my dear boy,

but this kingdom is not your toy.”

“ This coming from you? You’re no king merely a glutton!

Sitting here drinking your beer and inhaling your mutton!

My people wish to be free.

My people chose me.

So let my words pierce you like a lion’s roar,

your rule over this land and my people is no more!”
