All that I have and all I want

All that I have and all I want

A Poem by Alida

I do. I want it.

I want drunken moonlit dances,

knights in distress,

damsels in shining armour,

spinning skirts and spinning worlds

tumbling through our own oblivion

forgetting the weight of the young

carrying the dreams of the tongue

I do. But not with you.

or him or her or them,

I thought easy love was easy to find

yet I stumble within myself

dance in distress, hide within armour

drinking until I am not alone anymore,

spinning with the universe in the moonlight

pretending to think that it is right
