You Won't Believe Who

You Won't Believe Who

A Story by Alice Claire Culley

Dear Jeanette,

It's been a long time since I last wrote to you. Do you remember John, my ex-boyfriend? You won't believe what happened!

After that terrible incident of my break-up, when he told me he was going to study in Japan, I met him at the Unicenter shopping-mall. He looked changed, he had dreadlocks (instead of the short, curly hair he had) and the way he walked seemed cocky, as if he were proud of having treated me the way he did.

You know how I am, in the moment I see an old friend or one of my exes, I tend to forget everything. So, talking to John was no big deal, we spoke naturally and he mentioned that he might be going to Ana's graduation party (you know, she's my best-friend, so I must go!). The huge dilemma is that I don't know what I should do if I see him there, now that he's changed, it would make me feel weird. Please, let me know what you think, it would be of great help!

Later on that day, once my ex left the mall, I was at Sarkany, buying some new clothes for a party when a shop-lifter got caught stealing a pair of black leather gloves. You won't believe whom it was!

Do you remember Jane, our classmate who stole my umbrella? Well, that's the same person that was stealing that expensive pair of gloves! Of course, she's such a slow-thinker that the shop detectives stopped her. Unfortunately, I couldn't stay any longer watching the incident, because my daughter was impatient to go to the cinema so, I'm unable to tell anything more about this situation.

I'm glad that she got caught. Even though I don't ken the true reason of stealing, I might have an inkling that it might be because they were taught differently when they were kids.

I hope to hear from you soon!

                                            Love,

                                                     Mary.
