Mud Puddle

Mud Puddle

A Poem by Alice Patinkin

Mud Puddle

You’re all over my feet

You've got me dancing,

So happy and sweet

Mud Puddle

We're a terrible mess

But it’s fantastic

I must confess.

When the rain comes tumblin' down,

I don’t cry, no, and I don't frown

‘Cause I know soon there'll be

My darling Mud Puddle waiting for me

Mud puddle

I wish we could stay

Forever feeling

As grand as today

Mud puddle

So fun and free

Please don’t forget

Our silly reverie
