You

You

A Poem by Alice Patinkin

I still smell you on my clothes

I still see you when my eyes are closed

I still feel your arms around me, tight

When I'm laying in my bed at night

You're still living in my heart

Although we've been so long apart

I still hold you here inside of me

I still imagine all the things we could be

Other boys want me to be their sweet

But all the other boys just can't compete

Because with you, I have found a home

You've gone away, but I'm not really alone

Yeah, brutal. Nice poem, brutal sentiment. Hard being without a home once you've found it.
Life, huh? What the f**k.
