Not Death Can Tear Us ApartA Poem by Alicewhen his lover suicides, he decides to do the same days later.
i tried to fly but you cut my wings.
i tried to cry but you ignored the pleads. i tried to deny all these awful things i tried to believe it was all a dream. i tried to fight but i lost that night. maybe they were right, maybe i wasn't meant for this life. as doubt filled my head, i remember thinking you were dead. No. No, this couldn't be, you were always right here.. teasing me. standing in the breeze wondering if you could hear the trees. wondering if you could smell the fields, wishing you could be here. now taking your place, i can hear my pulse race.
