Winter Wonders.

Winter Wonders.

A Poem by Alice In Wonderland

Everyone says that love doesn't exist,
I used to think it true,
I knew love was real for others,
But it never once crossed my mind,
That love would find me.

Until it was,
That I met a man,
Who shared with me,
The things I've never had before.
The hell we've both endured.

In perfect love and perfect trust,
I fell in love with you.
In these winter months.
I'm still with you.
My heart full of joy.

Winter wonders do come true,
I learned this all because of you.
Somehow you came in a second,
But every second with you,
Is better than a minuet with out.

How clearly I do remember it,
The day a bandit stole my heart,
As I stole his in the same fashion.
There were so many days,
Where I would wish for him to come,
But it never really happened.
Until that day.

The day my depression took flight,
and dissipated into the night.
One kiss made it all true,
The love I found,
Was only with you.
A soul split between two bodies.

No one gets me like you,
No one has seen me for all I am,
My past and present,
Yet you still want a future with me,
I may never understand why,
But I'm glad you do.
