Sanity.

Sanity.

A Poem by Alice In Wonderland

Is this reality?
Is this sanity?
What I'm feeling
Is it me,
Or is it the pills?

They make me see things you know,
Is that supposed to happen?
Are you really listening,
Or am I just talking to the air?
Who am I?

I think I was someones daughter,
A girlfriend, a sister, a friend.
I had something there.
Now I only stare at four blank walls,
A padded cell, a voice in my head.

So tell me.
Is this reality,
Is this sanity,
What I'm feeling,
Is it me,
Or is it the pills?

Do we all face this eventually?
The blurred lines of reality,
A padded cell with no company?
Nothing to claim as your own.
Are we all drugged up,
No longer in control of our lives.
Is that what you call sanity?
