Don't Say A Word

Don't Say A Word

A Poem by Alice In Wonderland

Hush don't say a word
about the things that I live for.
I can't reach you when I need,
but I still hear you calling out my name.
Glass hearts shatter
As tears hit the floor.

So...
Hush don't say a word
about the things that I live for.
Little things that mean so much,
all gone before the end of my rush.
Everything has faded,
but your world is so jaded.

Can you even hear me,
when I call your name
through miles of darkness,
I see your light fade.
Haunting as it grows dim,
I call harder.

Hush don't say a word,
about the things that I live for.
Darling you lied to me,
about everything,
you said I'd never feel alone,
I'd never have to fret,
you promised me the best,
now you're putting me through hell.

Why would you do this to me,
After all that I've done for you,
Trust me I was never good enough,
I saw her today,
She's pretty,
You're lights back,
I guess I'll be going.
My lights fading
and soon I'll be a memory.
