A Cutters Lament

A Cutters Lament

A Poem by Alice In Wonderland

Hush little baby,
Everything will be alright,
Lay your head down,
And dream of broken butterflies,
Against a blood drenched sky.

Silver flashes behind closed doors,
Cries that no one hears,
No one sees these tears.
Here we are free.
Safe and loved beyond the doors.

Hush little baby,
lay your head down,
silver flashed before your eyes,
stain your pillow red.
cry again for the last time.

Come here child,
you're safe inside your dreams,
don't fret child,
your pillow is soaked with blood,
but everything is okay.

Draw your final breath,
close your eyes,
and dream of broken butterflies,
against a blood red sky.
Everything will be alright.
