The Empty Space Inside My MInd

The Empty Space Inside My MInd

A Poem by Laura Pruett

There is a space inside my mind

A void of emptiness you may find

I throw in thoughts and useless things

And wonder what forever brings

This place I use to disappear

When there are other people near

Asking questions, pretend concern

Unto my empty thoughts I turn

I build a wall up, make it strong

Get inside, it won't last long

I live alone inside my mind -

You can look, but you won't find
