Heat

Heat

A Poem by Alice.Valkyrie
"

Short, but hot

"

Waves undulating off the pavement

dancing in the heat

to a sweaty, sultry, jazzy beat.

If I listen very close

I can almost hear

a saxophone's sexy wail.

And a bead of perspiration

rolls down my back.
