Flower and Hummingbird

Flower and Hummingbird

A Poem by Alice.Valkyrie

 Her petals unfurl,

revealing nectar sweet

and aroma divine.

Swift winged hummingbird

gently licking, sipping, supping.

Vivid flower bright,

reveling in the tawny sunlight,

spread your petals further

that hummingbird may dine.

Tonight, when twilight dawns

and the pulsating moon rises full,

draw your petals to your bosum,

safely tucked away,

to slumber until dawn.

Fly home hummingbird,

however far home may be.

Your sweet flower will rise again

with the sun,

waiting for your tender kisses,

eagerly.

delicate tranquility imbues your poem with a beautiful atmosphere of nature's heart~ we put feeders out every summer for the tiny quick gems~ witness to their flight and darts and dips is sheer joy!~
