Shade

Shade

A Poem by Jamie

I thought i'd blame the sun,
whose infamous shine,
refrains the dry,
the inky ooze of shadows,
that pours out of me.

Because even in the sun,
I hang my head low,
and down from the thoughts,
that stow away in the clouds.

The hopes for higher places,
the acceptance of rain,
and the truth of the sky.

All I find in the sun,
is the absence of light.

Like an eternal compass,
I steer through the golden gleam,
and let this darkness ravage me.
