Unspoken Love

Unspoken Love

A Poem by Alli
"

I don't know.

"
There was not a thing to be done-
A love so potent,
It was natural to feel involved.
Everyone was drawn in.
Unsure of what to say-
Unsure of what to do-
Holding their breath.
They felt the thrum of nervousness.
Had the same line of sweat dampening their upper lip.
What would he say-
What would he do-
Will he deny her-
Will she be rejected?
You cannot reject a heart so quick to reject itself.
There's an electricity to the air.
He kisses her.
Everyone sighs.
