Mans Procession Through the Wilderness

Mans Procession Through the Wilderness

A Poem by Analgesia

Sky as black as ashes

The earth crackled underfoot

snapping kindling: branches

night as black as soot

eyes were bright as flame

but, sun long gone

only moonlit sparks remained

He lept through brush

dark leaves billowing behind

leaves that fueled his dash

but on the edge he will find

Tree tips before then singed

here he burns out on the fringe

This is really neat! It has a rustic, primal sorta feel and it says a few things to me... not only is it commentary on evolution of man but evolution of mankind as well... to me, that is... if I mistook it, please know that my brain is still recovering from last night! good write though! bit vague, but i think that's the central element, and, presentation-wise, it's a pretty accessible concept, if not an explicit statement.

I've settle into a routine: I'll stew in my own words for a few months, then, when there's been enough rumination I'll dispatch some sort of half cocked pile of context riddled with pretension and lov.. more..
