Skipping stones

Skipping stones

A Poem by Analgesia

Will I stare into that water

with glassy surface green

and try to see what lay under

that glassy verdent sheen?

Or, skipping stones, will I look

to stories, jokes, or anecdotes

will I even see the flowing brook

or wrap us both in T.V. quotes.

So skip and skip again and after

and though wit may flick may twist

and I may be a fool for laughter

there's no tweak my of my swift wrist

to break the tension of this matter

and so I cannot sink: I only skip and shatter.

I can picture skipping stones on the water. I'm not good at skipping stones but i love to watch others do it. Very well written

I love your use of words in this. The pattern and the sound of each word gives this poem a life of its own. I love that. Great job.
