Azure Eyes

Azure Eyes

A Poem by Analgesia
"

About a girl, surprised?

"

The oil eyes they are green

and the trees they are the same

oil world I've seen

beyond such a maple frame

Strokes pull so many threads

Pull tufts of arbor color full

'round the deep green river they tread

on brushes, beauty, an artist pulls

Down down the river so deep

And it's banks everflow over

Reflecting brilliance so bright I cannot sleep

I cannot look away I cannot, this painting, cover

And so there it hangs, there it remains

Whispering wistfully to I

:"Liquid azure eyes are the only rain

so much brighter than the sky."

So beautifully written, you're right; the imagery is so sweet and supple
in the writing.

It was wonderful

I love the imagery here. Comparing a girl to beauty in nature is an old theme, but it is given a breath of fresh air with your poem. Excellent.
