O'Harrahin's

O'Harrahin's

A Poem by Analgesia
"

Okay so I really wanted to build up some stuff before I posted again, but this was just too much fun. Based off of good old fashioned stereotypical Irish folk music.

"
Oh ne'er I seen
Such a wonderfull sight
As the merry old bar
O'Harrahin's at night
'Cus when the beer gets a flow'n
and our manner's get slight
all the boys gather 'round for a merry old fight.

The bar's green for now but
we'll soon turn it red
fist and elbow to chest
chair and glass to the head
'till the barman steps up
says we'll all turn up dead
don't smash all his new chairs
use this old one instead.

We all head home sore
at a stumbling pace
to wake up next sunday
and all say our grace
and on thing is for sure
there'll be a smile on my face
though I'm miss'n some teeth
it all turns up ace.

I'm not trying to offend anyone, it's just supposed to be funny. So please, tell me, what should I do here? Make a chorus? Suggestions are welcome.

That's brilliant, sounds just like an Auld Oirish drinking song. There are, however, some telling hints of 21st Century desperation which add extra depth. While it's hilarious, there is a feeling of deeper tone, the kind of thing which really marks you out as a great writer. Oscar would be proud.

I've settle into a routine: I'll stew in my own words for a few months, then, when there's been enough rumination I'll dispatch some sort of half cocked pile of context riddled with pretension and lov.. more..
