BrillianceA Poem by AleyshaRosaI saw the sun rising And in spite of
myself I kissed the sky And asked it why Her colours were
shining As brightly as they
were And why her rays Spread out like arms Protecting me from
harm Cradling me, making
me stay She cast red, purple,
pink Gold, orange and
broke The blue and took Away the stars And put them under
her sink She cooed and
promised They could come back That the sky would
lack Her infinite brilliance Without a glint of
silver They would smile and
wait For the end of the
day To come out and play And cure the world of Hate © 2013 AleyshaRosaReviews
