Underworld

Underworld

A Poem by AleyshaRosa

She walks

along the path

unaware of one who stalks

oblivious to his wrath

She sings

a song of freedom

unaware of the man who clings

to her song of doom

She turns

a sudden fear

unaware of the man who yearns

who with hungry eyes lure

She shivers

a quite fallen

unaware of his euphoric quiver

his want an incessant calling

She screams

though unheard

suddenly aware of the truth in her dreams

of the voice that purred

that now coos

that now gropes

that now moans

that disintegrates her hope

and she is dragged

into an underworld

hidden in a forgotten bag

in a room darkly walled

with three simple words

only by she heard

“i love you”

You get lost in the sound sometimes. Completely oblivious to the horrible crimes and invisible abuse. I've found myself there plenty.Great expression. Applause!
