You Lie

You Lie

A Poem by AleyshaRosa

Don't you dare lie to me

Don't you dare tip your hat

And pretend your not just a stupid rat

You swing your cane

You tap your heels

But you don't know how it feels

Don't you grin at me

I'll return with a snarl

I'll rip that f*****g tail

From your greasy little body

I'll rip your ears from your head

And put Mr. Mouse to bed

Don't you dare lie to me

Don't you dare tip your hat

And

Pretend

You're not a just a stupid

rat.

Yes liars are horrible and the dirtiest rats around. Nicely expressed

This is very true...

I find the extent of human hypocrisy interesting. Every single one of us hates to be lied to and yet we ourselves lie with an ease that would make the Devil proud. I don't believe honesty is part of human nature, as we always tend to take the path of least resistance. When confronted in an aggressive manner or asked a question that makes us uncomfortable, most people will fall back on a hastily constructed lie.

Whether it's about weight, age, some random affiliation or worse things like fraud and cheating...humans lie. And it's not just to others that we lie, but to ourselves as well and most of all.

You have a thought provoking poem here.

Well done.

This is a great piece. I commend you for the emotion, it just naturally emanates from the words.

She's been lied to before, she didn't like it. Angry but same time hurting while saying these words?

I like the feeling in this, maybe personally too feels related to this somehow.

I like where your inspiration came from :)
