PineA Poem by AleyshaRosaIt was the way the grass swayed that made the world fade and your brown eyes free of any disguise mix up my world in chocolate swirls i thought i might fly when the gentle breeze sighed i thought i might melt when just then i felt your hand squeeze mine and the brisk smell of pine remind me of you the way you coo when you want a kiss caressing me in sheer bliss
you told me your thoughts and we connected dots then we levelled and all that was dishevelled became so much clearer and i felt so much freer walking in the middle of the road making the pavement our abode taking ownership of the space like our own secret place hugged by trees begging us to release every word that needed to fall but also to say nothing at all i wonder if you knew that just then my love for you grew that my heart found a new beat that my pulse had a new rhythm that i found a new part of me that had suddenly come across you
