Fall into Fall

Fall into Fall

A Poem by Alexxus

As the transition from summer to winter begins

A new season begins to fill the air.

Autumn creeps in and all of a sudden you realize how fast summer flew by.

How there’s no more time to swim

or

how you have no time to tan in the bright sun.

The time has come for leaves to

from deciduous trees.

For children to build leaf piles and play hide-and-go-seek.

It’s time for the sky to change colors

from red to yellow in the early morning when the sun rises

 and

from blue to purple in the late afternoon when the moon begins to shine.

The sun says goodbye earlier than before

and

the moon says hello before you even have a chance to catch your breath.

Weather during the day is bearable

but,

during the night it grows crisp and cool.

When the sun rises in the morning the temperature becomes bearable yet again

Children place carved pumpkins along the street and pick cherries from near by trees.

The house fills with the smell of pumpkin pie.

And that's when you know fall has began.
